Preno team

Meet the team: Anshuman

Last week we celebrated Preno turning 2! As our 2nd Birthday approached, we had the chance to reflect on the many firsts for Preno over the last year. In the last year Preno had its first recruit, Heath, who improved our UX product design. He and Amelia (CEO) drove around the North Island to user test the product every week, which was instrumental in guiding Preno. We’ve achieved a lot in the last year, and this is reflected in our growing team!

This week we introduce you to one of our most recent recruits, our front-end developer, Anshuman. He joined us at the beginning of this year, and has been a great addition to our developer team!

Tell us a bit about yourself

I worked for Orion for a few years, and in the last year I did some freelance work, and then I started at Preno. In my free time I like to play sports, particularly table tennis and cricket. When I have the time, I like to work on my cars. I have a 1986 Toyota MR2 that I restore, and a Toyota Celica that I maintain.

What is your role on the team?

I look after the front-end of the web app of Preno. So anything you see in the browser, any styling and behavior e.g. popups, is what I work on exclusively.

What’s the favourite part of your job?

Doing stuff I can actually see, usually if you work on the back-end you don’t get to see any of the changes, everything is running in the background. Working on the front-end means you can see all the changes you make, and how that looks in the product.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?

I was once ranked 150th in NZ in men’s table tennis.

If you were a superhero, who would you be and why?

I like Batman the most because you don’t see him, and he doesn’t wear red underwear.

I hope you enjoyed learning a little more about our front-end web developer Anshuman. Stay tuned for more Preno profiles!
