Enhancing Security with Preno’s New Feature: Multi-Factor Authentication

In an era where digital security is paramount, the hospitality industry is not immune to the sophisticated threats that lurk in the cyber world. Preno is committed to offering not only advanced property management solutions but also ensuring the utmost security for our users. With this commitment in mind, we are proud to introduce our latest feature: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Why the Focus on Multi-Factor Authentication?

Multi-Factor Authentication stands at the forefront of protecting digital accounts from unauthorised access. It acts as an additional security layer, fortifying your account by requiring a second form of identification beyond just your password. This means, even if your password were to fall into the wrong hands, access to your Preno account would still be secured by this additional verification hurdle.

Why You Need To Use MFA

In today’s world, just using a password is not enough to keep your online accounts safe. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an important extra layer of security, greatly reducing the chance of someone getting into your accounts without permission.

As the digital landscape evolves, cyber threats are becoming increasingly sophisticated, making the use of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) not just a recommendation, but a necessity. Risks such as phishing scams, which trick individuals into giving up sensitive information, data breaches that expose large volumes of personal data, and identity theft, where personal information is stolen and used fraudulently, can all be significantly reduced by implementing MFA on your Preno account.

By requiring an additional layer of verification beyond just a password, MFA ensures that even if a password is compromised, unauthorised access to your account remains highly unlikely. This added security measure is crucial in protecting your business operations and the sensitive information housed within your Preno account against the ever-evolving threats in the cyber world.

Setting Up MFA on Your Preno Account

Ensuring the security of your account through MFA is straightforward. Here’s how you can activate this feature:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Profile in your Preno dashboard where you’ll find the Multi-factor authentication section.
  2. Click on Setup MFA and follow the on-screen prompts to proceed.
  3. If you haven’t used one previously, you’ll need to download a reputable authenticator app for your smartphone.
  4. Scan the provided QR code with your app, and then input the code displayed in your authentication app to complete the setup.

For account administrators, a comprehensive list of users with MFA enabled is accessible under Settings by selecting the User list option. This allows for easy oversight and management of account security within your hotel’s team.

Preno understands the importance of keeping your data safe and secure. Our new Multi-Factor Authentication feature is just one more way we are constantly working to improve our platform and protect our users.

We highly recommend all Preno users take advantage of this added layer of security to safeguard your hotel’s data and protect your business.
